For this painting my best friend Stephanie agreed to pose nude in homage to Odalisque paintings. This painting is very intimidating because i've never had to much body to paint before. I'm usually just painting a face and arms. this is going to be a real challenge!

face almost finished. going to work up rest of body. need to finish this by tonight!!! and write paper... i've never had coffee the entire time i've been at bowdoin but i really think i'm going to need to start for these last couple of weeks. i'm going to pray to every god i can think of for help. hopefully one answers!

update for gizem- base of the face. i kid you not when i say it took me four hours to get her face right. now it just needs to dry so i can add the pinks and yellows and make her complexion glow.

Ok. so, i am here and i have no idea what to do next. I know it's not finished and that there are tiny unimportant details to add. but honestly i can't figure out what they are or where they should go. HELP!!!!

Estefania is almost finished. this portrait was very challenging. the fabric is so complicated. i'm actually having a lot of trouble with the red cloth draped over her lap....
